Sylvia and had drive a long time. We were getting close to home. We were hungry so we stopped for a bite to eat and early dinner.
I ordered the Taverne Cheeseburger – I chose the
Swiss as my cheese…came with tomato, lettuce, onion on a toasted bun…and I chose tater tots
for my side…perfect meal.
My friend Sylvia and I found this cafe for our early Sunday morning breakfast as we were about to leave Cortez and head home.
I ordered two eggs, 4 pieces of bacon – crispy, hashbrowns, rye toast. It was a very good breakfast. The service was superb. It was a nice small local café. Just what one needs on early Sunday morning as I is about to leave town.
My friend , Sylvia, and I visited on our way back from a trip to the Aztec Ruins in Aztec, New Mexico. We wanted to try this restaurant from our first day in Durango. We did today.
I
ordered the ¼ pound of The Elgin, Texas Sausage – potato salad – Diet
Coke. It was just the right size…and
tasted wonderful. Sylvia ordered the Pork
Ribs with a side. They looked very good
and she said that they were.
The place was packed from the time we pulled up to the restaurant until we left.
With all the site seeing Sylvia and I did this morning, we were hungry. We picked the perfect restaurant.
Sylvia ordered
some type of burrito and then asked them if they would make chimi out of
it. Sure. So very nice.

painted beautifully.
Sylvia and were cold, tired and hungry after the train ride up the mountain. We only had about 2 hours to have something to eat. Then we would board the train for our ride down the mountain. I loved the train ride even if it was cold...cold...cold. The scenery was gorgeous.
Sylvia ordered the Bowl of Chili…and I ordered the Soup and Sandwich
Combo – Grilled Cheese Sandwich and a cup of chili. Both of us were disappointed that the chili
wasn’t piping hot. It was tepid at best. We were hungry after the train
ride up here. We were happy just to have something to eat.
I visited with Sylvia on our week long vacation.
I
ordered a margarita…and then I ordered Camarones al Mojo de Aho. It was good…shrimp and mushrooms served in a
garlic sauce with rice, beans and flour tortillas. It was a very typical Mexican meal. I really loved my dinner.
I am on mu 77th birthday vacation with my friend, Sylvia. We left Mesa at 6:00 a.m. and decided that we would stop in Payson for breakfast. We decided to try the Delicious Cafe.
I ordered the Almond Butter Banana Cakes with two eggs over medium and crispy bacon. It was very good and was very filling. The stack of three pancakes had bananas between layers…whipped cream on top with cinnamon.
Sylvia ordered some type of omelet.
