I met my friend Sylvia here for lunch. I ordered the Chimi with Machaca Beef served
with sour cream, fresh guacamole, cheese and I chose beans. It was very good but I do have one
complaint. I like my chimi fried crisp…and
this one wasn’t…I guess the next time I order one…I will have to tell them to
put the sour cream and guacamole on the side.
Sylvia and had drive a long time. We were getting close to home. We were hungry so we stopped for a bite to eat and early dinner.
I ordered the Taverne Cheeseburger – I chose the
Swiss as my cheese…came with tomato, lettuce, onion on a toasted bun…and I chose tater tots
for my side…perfect meal.
My friend Sylvia and I found this cafe for our early Sunday morning breakfast as we were about to leave Cortez and head home.
I ordered two eggs, 4 pieces of bacon – crispy, hashbrowns, rye toast. It was a very good breakfast. The service was superb. It was a nice small local café. Just what one needs on early Sunday morning as I is about to leave town.
