September 17, 2016 - Grimaldi's Pizzeria - Gilbert, Arizona

Carol Thompson and I spent the day at the Junk In The Trunk Vintage Market at West World in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Yes...we came home with a trunk full of junk.

We drove directly to the Thompson house....picked up Mike and went to Grimaldi's Pizzeria in San Tan Village.

We ordered a large pizza…one half with Fresh Garlic…one half Pepperoni.  It was delicious.  And, most of you know how I love thin crust…this was perfect.

As a starter Mike ordered the Bruschetta Trio…we had several different choices…we ordered one Marinated Mushroom and Roasted Red Pepper…one Classice Tomato and Basil…and one Marinated Artichoke.

This restaurant is part of an American pizzeria chain from the New York City area with several restaurants throughout the United States

I also visited the Grimaldi's in Scottsdale with Joshua, Jody and Judson Hayes on November 7, 2008.

We tried the large pizza with meatballs, Italian sausage and extra basil…and a side of anchovies for , Jody and I.  It was delicious…and what I liked was that the crust was thin.  I have never had a meatball pizza before but I liked it.

Jody ordered this Mediterrean Salad but she shared with me…and it was delicious…lots of Feta cheese, Romaine lettuce, Tomatoes, Kalamata Olvies, Red Onion, Vinaigrette dressing... the dressing was tangy but very tasty.

September 14, 2016 - The HUB Grill and Bar - Mesa, Arizona

I visited on September 14, 2016 with Pat and Joan Bershk.  Joan and I each had a strawberry margarita…and it was delicious…no real strong tequila taste to it…it was a sweet but not sickening taste.  It was served in this huge “square” margarita glass…heavy..heavy..heavy.

Pat and Joan shared a chicken quesadilla…it looked stuffed and good.  I ordered the hamburger…chose the Cheese Jalapeno bun…it was delicious.  The bun gave it a little kick. I chose the cole slaw side…it wasn’t excellent but still very good.  It could have had a little kick or and tangy taste to it.  I would return again.

September 5, 2016 - Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q - Chandler, Arizona

I visited on September 5, 2016 with Carol and Mike Thompson.  Mike ordered the Smoke Potato…loaded with meat.  I should have taken a picture of Mike's plate.  The potato was huge...what a meal.

Carol had the Turkey Breast…both had potato salad. I had 1/ 4 pound of the Baby Back Ribs…and 1/ 4 pound of the pulled pork with two slices of white bread…potato salad…and a soft drink.  Delicious!

The meat is just served to perfection…drop of the bone ribs…moist flavorful pulled pork.  I put that pulled pork on my slice of white bread.  Heaven!  I love those restaurants that serve the BBQ sauce on the side.  Nothing I detest more than hot meat slathered with cold BBQ sauce.
