I
visited on May 6, 2015 with Irma Heasley. They served free meals for Customer Appreciation Day. Everyone was given a choice of pulled pork sandwich or barbecue chicken
breast. Both Irma and I chose the pulled
pork…it was delicious…lots of meat in
the bun…they didn’t scrimp on anything…the sandwich was served with cole slaw
and pit barbecued beans…they were like a
7-bean baked beans…and a drink. I
thought the beans were really tasty.
They were a complement to my pulled pork which was temder from slow cooking over pecan wood. The
restaurant is located in an old 1929 brick building from the "golden age" of agricultural
Arizona. The inside of the restaurant carries through with the old theme. It is
a long a narrow restaurant with long tables in the middle and booths on the
side filled with '40s-era Arizona ephemera. There is also a huge outside eating area
similar to the one at Joe’s Farm Grill.
