I went to dinner with former co-worker and friend, Peggi Sandoval Decker . We each ordered a margarita…then two…while we
munched on our chips and salsa which were really great! I though the salsa started out kind of sweet
in your mouth and ended up with a kick!
Peggi ordered three tacos – carnitas (traditionally braised
pork, classic guacamole and tomatillo
fresco), lobster and filet mignon
(crispy melted cheese, avocado, spicy pistachio Serrano). I ordered three tacos – the taco of the
month: Chile relleno, lobster (black
beans, crispy onions, avocado, crème de cilantro, jalapeno pico) and filet
mignon. I loved the taste of all three
of my tacos…but I must say the Filet was really, really good! They were street
tacos served on blue corn small tortillas.
Dessert we shared an Aztec Gold – churro caramel corn,
horchata gelato and chocolate almond mousse.
The mousse had the gelato center…and all of that was coated with the
churro caramel corn. Delicious!
