We had lunch at the Courtyard Cafe at the Heard Museum. We each ordered a cup of Butternut Squash Tortilla Soup…and then shared the Street Tacos. The soup was very tasty…great consistency..not spicy…but creamy.
The Street Tacos were served as a flat tortilla with carne asada…lettuce…tomatoes… Lots of carne asada …with a full grilled taste. I thought they were a perfect choice.
I also had Prickly Pear Lemonade
to drink…Sandy ordered coffee..and Kellie Jo was happy with water. Kellie Jo wanted dessert so we ordered the Caramel
Apple Quesadilla - strips of a light
flexible pie crust with apples and sauce into between. The huge round pie type of dessert was then
cut in huge wedges and criss crossed to make start shaped serving that was
topped with a scoop of ice cream…caramel sauce and broken pieces of walnuts.Yummy! This is also what we had for dessert last
November 2014 when Jo Martin and Linda Hoover visited me. I blogged about our visit in November, 2014...so take a look at that one too!
